ishbir fa'iinak ya 'asir .. shams tadur laha alzuhur
Be patient, O prisoner * Because you are a sun that the flowers turn for;

متقدم رغم القيود .. ورائد رغم الصخور
mutaqadim raghm alquyud .. warayid raghm alsukhur
Going forth despite your shackles * A leader despite the rocks in your way;

وَقَفَ الزَّمَانُ أَمَامَ سِجْنِكَ .. يَحْتَفِي بِدَمِ النَّحُور
waqf alzaman 'amam sajank .. yahtafi bidami alnahur
Time has stopped in front of your prison * Amazed at the blood that has been sacrificed…
