Introduction

The hymn tells of the martyrdom of Muthanna bin Haritha al-Shaibani, may Allaah bless him, who had a great well in the invasion of the Persians before the battle of Qadisiyya .. That changed the face of history ... Then he tells the details of the battle. It begins with the saying of Khalid bin Walid expressing his preference for Jihaad against the parents and the children saying: "What a night gifted to my house with a bride I love, or a son that I was promised is not better for me than a snowy tough night in a company of Mujahideen with which I attack my enemies, so you have to do your Jihad "

تقدم المثنى وقاد جيشه
ثم وافاه الموت ففاضت روحه
فإذا بسعد للمثنى خليفة
انهض بنا قد بلغ الزحف ذراه

taqadam almuthanaa waqad jayshuh
thuma wafaah almawt fafadat ruwhih
fa'iidha basaed lilmathanaa khalifa
ainhud bina qad balagh alzuhuf dharrah

Muthanna advanced and led his army
then he passed away, and his spirit overflowed
then Saad succeeded Muthanna
rise the struggle has reached its peak

بلغ الزحف ذراه بدأ انتصارنا … ها نحن قمنا
ثم فارقت الحياة هيا شاهد نصرنا انهض مثنى

balagh alzuhuf dharrah bada aintisaruna … ha nahn qumnaan
thuma faraqat alhayat hayaa shahid nasruna anhud mathnaa

the struggle has reached its peak, and the victory has begun … so we rise
then you passed away, come on watch our victory and rise Muthanna

انهض مثنى
انهض وشاهد جيشنا في القادسية
يا من تمنى
خوض الغمار ثم وافته المنيا

anhid washahid jayshnaan fi alqadisia

rise and watch our army in Qadisiyah
O you who wished

سل الأرماث عن الركب في يوم اللقاء

sali al'asyaf ean alghamad fi altharaa ailtaqaa

Ask the rafts about the ride for the day of the meeting
ask the helpers about the relief of assertiveness piety
ask the ignorant about the river filled with blood
ask the swords about the sheathes in the clean sand

عندما دوى النفير أن دنا وقت الجهاد
بدأ الآن المسير كي نقاتل الأعادي
ليلهم روحاني
باتوا بالقرآن
قاموا كالفرسان
ثاروا كالبركان

eindama dawaa alnafir 'ana dana waqt aljhad
bada alan almasir kay nuqatil al'aeadi
laylahum ruhani
batuu bialquran
qamuu kalfursan
tharuu kalburkan

When the horn sounded that it was time of Jihad
now the march began to fight the enemies
to inspire the soul
they slept by the Qoran
they rose like knights
they erupted like a volcano

وقف الجيش وعسكر وإذا الكفر تحشد
فإذا سعد يكبر وكأن الأفق ترعد
فالتقى الجيشان
إنهم طوفان
تشهد الوديان
قاتل الفرسان

waqf aljaysh waeaskar wa'iidha alkufr tahshad
fa'iidha saed yakbur waka'ana al'ufuq tareud
faltaqaa aljayshan
'iinahum tufan
tashhad alwidyan
qatal alfursan

The army stood and disbelievers gathered
and Saad said Allaah Akbar as if it was the horizon’s thunder
the two armies met
they were the flood
witnessed by the valleys
the knights fought

هاهي الأفيال ولت وانطوى الجيش ذليلا
راية الفرس تهاوت رستمُ غدا عليلا
و أحفظوا ذا الخبر
بشروه عمرا
جيشنا قد نصر
جيشهم قد قهر

hahi al'afyal walat wantawaa aljaysh dhalilaan
rayat alfurs tahawat rstm ghadaan ealilana
w 'uhfizuu dha alkhabar
basharuh eumurana
jayishna qad nasr
jayashhum qad qahir

The elephants are gone and their army folded in humiliation
the banner of the Persians fell
so, keep that news
and preach it for a lifetime
our army has been triumphed
their army was conquered

اطفؤا نار المجوس أوقدوا نور الهدى
ثم ضحوا بالرؤوس كي ينالوا الموعد
أرضوا الرحمن
سادوا الأكوان
هدموا الأوثان
زلزلوا الطغيان

atfwa nar almujus 'awqaduu nur alhudaa
thuma dahuu bialrawuws kay yanaluu almaweid
'arduu alrahmun
saduu al'akwan
hadamuu al'awthan
zulziluu altaghyan

Put out the fire of the Magi
then they sacrificed the heads to get what was promised
pleased the compassionate
prevailed the universes
demolished idols
shaken tyranny

فإذا يأمر سعد أن يصلون جماعة
فإذا القصر سيغدو مسجدا لله طاعة
فانحنى الأبطال
سجدا قد مالوا
دمعهم هطال
دمهم سيال

fa'iidha yamur saed 'ana yasilun jamaeatan
fa'iidha alqasr sayaghdu masjidana lilah taeatan
fainhanaa al'abtal
sujadana qad maluu
damaeahum hital
damahum sayal

And so, Saad orders to pray in congregation
as the palace will become a Mosque of obedience to God
heroes bowed
prostrating they leaned
with their tears falling
and their blood is like a torrent

فاسمعو ها قد علت أصوات السكون .. قد أبت ذلنا و العار مقام .. أعلنت بأن عزي لن يموت .. إننا العز فإنا نسل الكرام

و انقشوا المجد على سماء الخلود .. و ارفعوا راية دين رب السلام .. و اشهدوا النصر لنا بتلك الحدود .. عاد إسلامي و عاد دين الحسام

أين جند المسلمين أين هم مما نعاني من وحوش حاقدين
'ayn jund almuslimin 'ayn hum mimaa nueani min wahush haqidin
Where are the Moslem soldiers ? where are they for we are suffering from the spiteful ?

في سراييفو دماء تغمر الأرض الفضاء صارخات بالنداء تستثير النائمين
fi sarayifu dima' taghmur al'ard alfada' sarikhat bialnida' tastathir alnnayimin
in Sarajevo, the land drown by blood, shouters wants to awaken the sleepers

لو نظرتم للضحايا ترى مثل الشظايا حولهم … المنايا والنصارى يرقصون
law nazartum lildahaya taraa mithl alshazaya hawlahum … almanaya walnasaraa yarqusun
if you look at victims you will see shrapnel around them … they died and (those) Christians are dancing

ذبحونا كالشياه ورمونا في المياه وأخي عني لاه بمال أو بنون
dhabhuna kalshiah warumunana fi almiah wa'akhi eaniy lah bimal 'aw banun
they massacred us like sheep and throw us in water, and my brother having fun with money and children

مسجدي قد هدموه وهلالي **روه وأبي لم يرحمون رغم أثقال السنين
masjidi qad hadamuh wahalali **ruh wa'abi lm yarhamun raghm 'athqal alsinin
they destroyed my Mosque, broke the arch and didn’t have mercy on my father despite his oldness

منزلي لم يتركوه فوق رأسي قوضوه كل شيء أفسدوه تحت عين المسلمين
munzili lm yatrakwh fawq rasi quduh kula shay' 'afsaduh taht eayan almuslimin
they didn't leave my home and destroyed it above my head, they mess everything in front of the eyes of Moslems

عرض أبكاري استبيح وصغيري ذا ذبيح ودمائي في السطوح تستثير النائمين
eard 'abkari aistabih wasaghiriun dha dhabih wadamayiy fi alsutuh tastathir alnnayimin
they took over my virgin daughter honor, massacred my kid and my blood on the roof wants to awaken the sleepers

ابنتي صارت سبية بعدما عاشت أبية ليتني ذقت المنية قبل ما عرضي يروح
abnataya sarat sibiyatan baedama eashat 'abiat laytani dhaqat almaniat qabl ma eardi yarawh
my daughter became a captive after she lived free, I wanted to die before I lost my honor

نحن أرباب الكفاح لو تملكنا السلاح لأتينا بالصباح وانطوى الليل الحزين
nahn 'arbab alkifah law tamlakuna alsilah la'atiina bialsabah waintiwaa allayl alhazin
we are the owners of struggle, if we have a weapon, we will bring the morning and the sad night will go

ليس غير الاتحاد منقذاً هذه البلاد من صليبي أراد لو يباد المسلمون
lays ghyr alaitihad mnqdhaan hadhih albilad min salibi 'arad law yubad almuslimun

لم يفقهوا بدرا ولا امت ركائبهم حراء؟؟

هى امة لكن ومعذرا لمن رفع الغطاء
haa 'umat lkna wamuedhirana liman rafe alghita'

هى امة ويكاد يحسبها المصور مومياء
haa 'umat wayukad yahsubuha almusawir mawmia'
it’s a nation the photographer figures it a mummy

اني احار بهؤلاء !! احار نهجا وانتماء !!

I am puzzled about them I am confused about what they follow or belong to

هذا الى صنم يطيف به وذا عبد النساء
hadha 'iilaa sanm yutif bih wadha eabd alnisa'
one goes worships an idol, the other worships women

وهناك من ظن الرياء براعة فغلا رياء
wahunak min zani alriya' baraeat faghalaan ria'
and one thought that the adulation is cleverness, he continues in this

والمال الهة فقدسه وكان له الفداء
walmal alihat faqadasah wakan lah alfada'
and one thought money is God, he sanctified it so he took it as redeemer

اني احار بهم وقد ساغوا التراشق والبذاء
'iiniy ahar bihim waqad saghuu altarashuq walbidha'
I am confused about them, they accepted obscenity and cursing

وحنوا رقابهم فلم تشكوا الهوان والانحناء
wahanuu riqabahum falam tashkuu alhawan walanhina'

اني احار بهم وقد امست جموعهم غثاء
'iiniy ahar bihim waqad amasat jumueuhum ghutha'

يتناطحون تناطح الاكباش تلتهم الغذاء
yatanatahun tanatuh alakbash taltahim alghidha'
they fight like sheep when they eat

ويقاتلون عن الرذيلة يرخصون له الدماء
wayuqatilun ean alradhilat yarkhusun lah aldima'
they fight for vice, they license the blood for it

ويحز بعضهم رقاب البعض شوقا واشتهاء
wayahiz bedhm riqab albaed shuqaan waishtiha'
and some of them kill the others for fantasy

فنظر الى مزق اللحوم ترى العجاب ترى البلاء
fanazar 'iilaa mizq alluhum taraa aleijab taraa albala'
look at the people killed, you will see wonders and trials

فنظر الى برك الدماء وايهم حقن الدماء ؟؟

وثبة تجلب نصرا

وثبة عظمى لجيل

for a generation filling events with renown
يقرأ القرآن دوما

أمَّتي هَل لَك بَينَ الأمَمِ *** مِنبَرٌ لِلسَّيفِ أو لِلقَلَمِ
تَلَقّاكِ وَطَرفي مُطرِقٌ *** خَجَلاً مِن أمسِكِ المُنصَرِمِ
أينَ دُنياكِ الَّتي أوحَت إلى *** وَتَرى كُلَّ يَتيمِ النَّغَمِ ؟
أمَّتي كَم غُصَّةٍ دامِيَةٍ *** خَنَقَت نَجوىٰ عُلاكِ في فَمي
كَيفَ أغضَيتِ عَلى الذُّلِّ وَلَم *** تَنفُضي عَنكِ غُبارَ التُّهَمِ ؟
أوَ ما كُنتِ إذا البَغيُ اعَتَدىٰ *** مَوجَةً مِن لَهَبٍ أو دَمِ ؟
إسمَعي نَوحَ الحَزانىٰ واطرَبي *** وانظُري دَمعَ اليَتامى وابسُمي

أيُها الجُندِيُّ يا كَبشَ الِفدا  *** يا شُعاعَ الأملِ المُبتَسِمِ
ما عَرفتِ البُخلَ بالروحِ إذا *** طَلبَتها غُصَصِ المَجدِ الظَّمي

English Translation

My nation, is there for you between the nations
any pulpit for sword or pen?

I observe you, my gaze being quite
out of shame in front of your bygone past

Where is your life which revealed to
my bowstring every orphan of melody

My nation, how much bleeding sorrow,
did choke secret talks on your loftiness into my mouth

How did you overlook the disgrace and did not
stir up the dusts of accusation off yourself

Where you not, when the aggression transgressed
a tide of flames or blood?

Listen to the wailing of the sad and delight them
And look to the tears of the orphans and smile

My nation, how many idols did you glorify,
which in reality did not carry the purity of an idol

O soldier, oh bellwether of sacrifice
Oh heraldry of the smiling hope

You did not know any avarice towards the soul when
the incomplete parts of the subtle glory demanded it

ًنهضَ الإسلام يَـبغي ناصرا
Islam has rised, searching for a devotee

ْأمة تَرفع راياتِ الكِفاح
A nation that raises the banners of fight

ْفَبدا في أمتي الأسدُ كمَا تَنجَلي الأنوارُ في ضِوْءِ الصّباح
So the lions appeared in my nation
as beams of light diffuse in the morning

ْلَم نَجدْ غَير نِداءاتِ الوَغي و سِلاح يَتداعي لسلاح
We found but calls to war
and weapon calling upon weapon [to gather]

ْنهجُنا يسمو لأعلي قِمة يستمِدّ المجدَ مِن اكرَم راح
Our creed exceeds to the highest peak,
obtaining the glory from the most noble source

اقبلَ النصرُ يحيّـينا و لاحْ و بدا بُشري علي بيضِ السفاح
Victory approached greeting us and sparkled
and appeared as a glad tiding on the swords of the bloodthirsty

و لكَم شع علي امالنا عبِق الارجاءِ خفّاق الجناح
How much radiated it on our aims,
[it is of] scenting edges and flattering wing

ارفعِ الرأسَ تراهم انجمًا او تراهم مثل اعصارِ الرياح
Raise your head and you will see them stars
or you will see them like the violent wind

هل تري الاحرارَ في اوطانِنا انظرُ العزةَ اطرافِ الرماح
Do you see the free in our homelands?
Look at the dignified might on the tips of spears
